Moonracer & Cyber Bee Mouse Pads

Well the Transformer Wrist-Rest Mouse Pads continue unabated. Having done the most popular and well known female Transformer characters such as Arcee, Black Arachnia, Elita-1 and Windblade, the makers are now moving on to the B-Listers of the femmebot world. And B is correct as while one of these characters is a Femmebot that has been around in the background for 35 years, another isn’t a Femmebot at all!

Moonracer and….. WTF?!

 So lets have a look at Moonracer and, quite strangely the Cyber Bee Cosplayer.

 

Moonracer

A very feminine face and a head that is very indicative of both the original 1985 G1 character and the Generations Toy that came out in recent years. A good enough mouse pad, though the shadowing/lighting they have used for the art causes a faded line to cross the Autobot Symbol on her chest, detracting from the artwork somewhat.

‘I thought my chest plate was more pointy than round. But hey, at least I’m finally getting more merchandise!’

 

Cyber Bee

Human, Cyborg, Pretender, really good Cosplayer…. what is she?!

I mean, what is this supposed to be? The armour and colour scheme is obviously in homage to the Movieverse Bumblebee. But the face and chest are most definitely flesh. But then she has eyes that are either robotic or supernatural as they are a solid blue. So is this Bumblebee in semi-human form doing a gender swap? Is he donning a Pretender disguise like Alice in ROTF?  Is it either a Cyborg or a Supernatural Girl dressed up as Bumblebee for Cosplay? I just don’t know! So I’ve gone with the rationale that she is a Cyborg (part robot part human) that is cosplaying as Bumblebee as, though that makes little sense, it seems to make more sense than any other explanation.

So there we go, the latest in Transformers Wrist-Wrest Mouse Pads. Moonracer who is not too big of a surprise, and Cyber Bee, who is very surprising. It will be interesting to see who we get next.

Well it’s been a few years since we got a Transformers-themed Wrist Rest Mouse Pad.  In early 2017 we saw pads made of Arcee and Windblade, followed several months later by Elita-1.  Now nearly two full years later we have the latest one, and it’s the character that near everyone predicted would be next.  So let’s look at the Blackarachnia Mouse Pad.

 

The Artwork

Classy!

The first Transformers Wrist Rest pads that came out were definitely Anime themed in their artwork.  The follow up one of Elita-1 was more G1 Cartoon/Comic themed and even those who abhor these Mouse Pads admitted it was excellent artwork of her (from the neck up at least).   This Mouse Pad definitely goes back to an Anime style, and is rather indicative of the artwork from the comic included with the Legends Blackarachnia figure.

An odd inclusion in the artwork is her licking a claw with an organic tongue.

 

The Physical Attributes

The dimensions and… er… squidgyness… of the Mouse Pad are on par with what has come before.

What is a shame is that unlike the other Mouse Pads, this one does not come packaged in a hard plastic shell, making it harder for those who choose to display them rather than put them to conventional use.

 

An Already Busty Character

It’s rather ironic that these Mouse Pads accentuate the female chest, yet the Legends Blackarachnia toy and box art actually show Blackarachnia with an even bigger bust than the Mouse Pad has! The previous Mouse Pads got a lot of scorn from certain sections of the fandom for giving a Transformer breasts.  It will be interesting to see if those sections get angry again here, considering Blackarachnia has always been portrayed in cartoons, comics and toys as actually having breasts.  In fact the original Beast Wars toy had massive mammaries!

Why these silly little Mouse Pads cause such controversy has always been a bit beyond me, since they are representations of fictional shape-shifting alien robots. Plus pick up any DC or Marvel comic and you’d be hard pressed to find any artwork showing a single female Super Hero rocking something smaller than Double D’s.  Funnily enough the outrage often seems to be more from male rather than female Transformer fans, who tend to find the whole thing bemusing.  But to each their own and it’s understandable that this kind of product is not everyone’s cup of tea.

So there ya go, the latest in the line of Transformer Wrist Rest Mouse Pads and something to sate fans until the Masterpiece Blackarachnia figure is released later this year.  For those of you that entered the competition on this site, well done, nearly every one of you predicted this would be the next Mouse Pad created!  So keep tuned to see which Femmebot will get the Wrist Rest treatment next.

Elita One Mouse Pad

Back in May we had a look at the two first wrist-rest mouse pads made with a Transformers theme, those being modeled after Acree and Windblade respectively.

Most people, whether they liked them or were horrified by them, were none the less fascinated and speculated whether there would be any more.  Now a few months later we have our answer.  Another femmebot has let her form grace the pad so that Transfans and netnerds everywhere can click away without thier poor wrists getting sore, that femmebot being Elita One.

And the classiness continues!

 

Elita One is looking just as buxom as her femmebot comrades here.  Once again we have the soft silicone at the bottom that feels quite smooth to the touch and the top gives you plenty of room to manuver your mouse around when you are looking up websites about, er, morality and self-denial.

I actually do really like the artwork here.  There hasn’t been a massive amount of artwork of Elita One.  She has been in IDW for the past couple of years as a warrior space captain, often depicted with her damaged helmet and sitting upon her throne made up of the skeletal remains of the previous ships leaders.  Even without the ‘wrist rest’ parts this is a far softer depiction of her and a nice change of pace.

From the neck up you can actually focus on the great facial artwork rather than the… hoodmeat.

 

But of course all the rationalization in the world wont get you away from the fact that this is a booby-pad – designed to appeal to a combination of Transfan and Mazophiliac.  Once again, you can leave it in the packaging so that you can hang it on the walls to impress your friends and family if you wish.

Competition Time!

When the first two of these mouse pads appeared online a lot of people speculated which character would come next, the majority believing it would be Beast Wars Blackarachnia, especially given her comic art from her Legends toy.  But since we got Elita One instead we are back to wondering – who will be next?

Here is the competition.  In the comments section below list 5 femmebots you would like to see given the wrist-rest mouse pad treatment.  If your list of 5 turn out to be the next five made, even if not in the same order, you win a prize!  I’ll sort out the prizes when the time comes since it will depend on how many winners there are and what – heh – what could be considered acceptable in their households, but it will definitely be femmebot related.

Transformers Wrist Rest Mouse Pads

Well…. hmmmm. What to say here.

Wrist Rest Mouse Pads are all the rage these days.  With more and more of us stuck in front of a computer at work or home for hours on end, the wrist can get sore.  The whole idea of these kind of mouse pads is that they are filled with a squishy gel and are designed to be smooth and comforting to your wrist.

Then someone had the idea “Hey, since we are making a gel filled mat anyway, why don’t we shape the gel sacks like boobs?!”

And thus an industry was born.  An industry I was blissfully unaware of until a few weeks ago.  I had been using the same mouse pad for about 10 years (a Bumblebee one from the 2007 movie) which had disintegrated and I had never replaced.  So while idly surfing ebay I typed in Transformer Mouse Pads.

That’s my story and I’m sticking with it!

Apparently these type of mouse pads are very prevalent.  Name nearly any cartoon or video game coming out of Japan which features cute anime girls and someone has made a boobpad wrist rest of them.  Oh, and not just the boobs – you can get butt ones too!  So whether you want to rest your weary wrist on Nami’s ample chest or Chun-Li’s ample bum there is a product for you.  So I guess it was just a matter of time before they made Transformer ones.

So lets have a look at the two shall we:

The mouse pads themselves are quite large.  However even larger are the boobs wrist rests.  I knew they would be bumpy when ordering them but I didn’t think they would be this… er… prominent. If they were human these femmebots would be rockin’ serious F cups (and probably have serious back issues).  Since a Transformer is usually at least 10 times the size of a human I think we would have to expand the alphabet to give these ones a proper designation.  The characters are Arcee and Windblade, both quite prominent in the IDW comics at the moment and both have had Generations toys in recent years.  Admittedly the toys themselves do have chests that stick forward in a female manner, but they are certainly not this abundantly female!

The material feels… quite um…  smooth.  And the bumps feel…. quite er…. squishy.  Oh shit – what am I supposed to say here? These are Transformer Boob Mouse Pads, there is no getting around it!  Rest your wrist on it (and only your wrist boys) and click yourself silly!  Of course you can always leave them in their packaging and hang them on the wall as a talking piece when friends and relatives come to visit.

Somehow I think mine are going to live in a box to be taken out to amuse my mates when they come over for a beer.  With two little kids in the house I can’t see my wife allowing otherwise and I definitely cant take them to work.

Look, one could easily make the argument that these objectify… er… giant transforming alien femmebots (hmmm… maybe its not so easy after all) but in the end it’s a bit of silly, inexpensive fun that is more likely to illicit a dirty chuckle from your friends than any real arousal from yourself.  So have a good laugh that these kinds of things have been even created in the first place and click ya brains out!
